All Creatures Great and Small

A new website for an animal sanctuary and rescue

Project Overview

All Creatures Great and Small is an animal sanctuary based in Llanfrechfa, near Cwmbran. The organisation rehomes dogs, cats, and small animals, while also providing lifelong care for a large number of resident sanctuary animals.

As part of our ongoing commitment to social value and community support, Pobl delivers pro bono projects each year for organisations making a meaningful difference. All Creatures Great and Small was selected as one of these initiatives.

We designed and developed a new website for the sanctuary at no cost, alongside providing free hosting and ongoing maintenance. The aim was to give the organisation a reliable, easy-to-manage platform that supports rehoming, increases donations, and helps them communicate their work more effectively to the public.

About All Creatures Great and Small

All Creatures Great and Small carries out vital work caring for animals and rehoming pets, many of which have had a difficult start in life. Running a sanctuary of this kind is a constant challenge, relying on charitable donations and a dedicated team of volunteers who put the welfare of the animals first. It is a truly special place.

We offered to design and build a new website for All Creatures at no cost. Working closely with their team, we took time to understand the day-to-day challenges they face and how their digital presence could better support their work.

The website was designed to address these needs directly. This included making it easier to rehome animals, improving visibility of donation opportunities, and supporting volunteer engagement. The result is a platform that helps the organisation operate more effectively, while allowing their team to focus on what matters most, caring for the animals.

We hope this contribution continues to support the incredible work of their staff and volunteers, both now and in the future.

As part of the project we worked with photographer Alex Lloyd Jenkins to capture the sanctuary, its animals and the staff and volunteers. Alex also kindly provided his services free of charge.

Impact & outcomes

Following launch, the website has helped All Creatures Great and Small operate more effectively, with clearer journeys for rehoming animals, improved visibility of donation opportunities, and stronger engagement from volunteers.

The platform reduces manual effort for the team, making it easier to manage animals and keep content up to date. Since the launch of the new site, the sanctuary now receives over 30,000 visits per month, significantly increasing awareness and reach.

This reflects a more accessible, better-structured digital presence that supports the organisation’s day-to-day work while helping more animals find homes.
